As I continue on my journey into the world of cybersecurity, I’m excited to share where I’m at and what I’ve been working toward lately. I’m currently preparing to take the CompTIA Security+ exam, and I’m also actively looking for internship opportunities as a Security Analyst.

Studying for the Security+ has been a really rewarding experience. I’d say I’m about 75% ready at this point—I’m still reading through the official book, reviewing key concepts, and testing myself regularly. One of the most helpful resources for me has been Professor Messer’s video series. His clear explanations and structured lessons have really helped me understand not just the content, but how to think like someone in the cybersecurity field.
In addition to videos and reading, I’ve been taking practice exams to get a feel for the types of questions I’ll face. They’ve helped me identify the areas I’m confident in, and the ones I need to review a bit more. It’s all about staying consistent, and I’ve been doing my best to keep a good balance between studying and job searching.
As I get closer to exam day, I’m also putting myself out there by applying to internships that align with my goals. I’m eager to gain hands-on experience and start contributing in a real-world setting. It’s an exciting time, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come already.
If you’re also studying for Security+ or breaking into the cybersecurity world, feel free to connect, I’d love to share tips and learn from others on the same path!
